Once the space is clean and clear of distraction, we come out with our heavy equipment to level the planned work space, shape, and slope it as needed. We move, compact, and grade the dirt until it is completely prepared for the newly planned landscape construction work. We also take elevations with special, precise instruments to ensure gravity is going to be pulling water in the optimal direction during a significant rain event.
Since an experienced set of human eyes can still misjudge a gentle slope, we always confirm all needed specifications prior to building. It’s one of the most important first steps for any new landscape project… and it’s often overlooked by under qualified labor and lower paid contractors.
