How do you estimate each project when there are so many variables to consider?

It’s not always easy, but with over 20 years of experience estimating Santa Barbara area property improvement projects, we’ve learned to shoot from the hip pretty accurately, and keep our Client’s expectations reasonable as related to the available budget. Since each property is different and unique to circumstances that affect everything from type of material being used to accessibility on the property and artistic detail desired in the work being done, we really just do what we can to feel out your priorities and discuss your financial circumstances up front with you to let you know what is realistically possible within your budget. From there, once we have established that your project is a good fit for our team and you give us the green light to proceed, we will agree on a target budget to kick off the project. Generally speaking, we tend to estimate conservatively so help give our team a realistic budget to work with, and ideally come in under or close to the actual budget amount without going significantly over. Still, we have to leave room for contingencies like things below grade that are unknown, and will communicate those to you as necessary and possible before and during your project.
